Allerton park
in Monticello, Illinois.

Allerton Park near Monticello, IL. 25 miles west of Champaign, IL |

Course |
Take on a challenging trail race through fall-colored
forests and past the unique gardens and statuary of Allerton Park.
This is a trail race, which means that
runners may find hidden roots, ruts, sharp turns,
and other obstacles. The race
course follows the river and may contain some slippery areas and mud could be
present, depending on the weather on the dates surrounding the race.
Please take care while running.

Awards |
Awards to top three male and female runners in the following age groups:
under 12, 13-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59,
60-64, 65-69, 70 and over, and Clydesdale. Asics running
shoes will be awarded to the overall male and female winners. Medals to
all finishers under 13 years of age.
Random prizes also awarded to both walkers and runners. No awards
or will be mailed. |

The Allerton Trail race offers a wonderful post-race brunch, which is
made possible by member donations of food.

Charity |
Race Charity: A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Friends of Allerton.
In 2008, Second Wind donated $1000 to Friends of Allerton. T-shirt
and Shoe Drive: We will be conducting a collection of t-shirts and
shoes in good shape to be delivered to area shelters and assistance

Volunteers are needed Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25.
Please indicate areas you can help by submitting a
volunteer form. We will also need help on stuffing race bags
prior to Saturday. Email
